Only a philistine with no practical sense at ALL would utter such words! As you have guessed, one can NEVER have enough bags. Ok, wait a second, where is my little black travel mirror …
And that is how a leisurely stroll through Venice led us past Empresa, where this fabulous leather tophat happened to wait for me!
But the whole mad hats business started in Boutique Yoahm, Paris, where we had previously found a nice specimen för Björn, not much unlike this one (only BIGGER!)
First discovered in the international press section of Stockholm’s airport Arlanda, Frankie quickly became my frequent traveler’s reading of choice, both when traveling the skies of Europe as well as to go with Sunday midday coffee!
During Easter holiday, I found a dusty, cobweb-covered tophat in our house on the country side. Mum told me that it’s great grandpa’s! Neither grandpa nor daddy had the right head size to wear it – so, …. I guess it’s mine now since it fits perfectyl! I cleaned it and replaced the black ribbon with a green satin ribbon, renewed the inner lining with green silk and added this flamboyant bronze belle-epoqueish belt buckle I found at “Haben Will”, a Munich antiques shop! Voilà! Great Grandpa’s Tophat sexed up! If only he could see it…. B-)
