Grand outfits were on display, worn by grand people at Björn’s sister’s Stina 30th birthday party, which took place at the very fitting Gräfsnes Slottsruin, outside Gothenburg. 1890-1930, light colours, safari, were the instructions for the dresscode, given by the fabulous hostess of the evening, and were followed nicely by around three dozen ladies, gents and undecided with an air of nonchalance. Part of the fun was the week long hunt for suitable garments and accessories which preceded the event, at places like Vintage Berlin, Bonnie and Kleid (ibid.), Herr Judit, Stockholm, or Haben Will, Munich. And yes: ALLA på tunnelbanan i Berlin har ju Monokel!!
At the end of her vacation, Uni enjoyed some time at the japanese bathhouse Yasuragi outside Stockholm in order to regain some Zen and balance. She was only slightly disturbed by Björn and me celebrating our 4th birthday 🙂
Der Sommer im Museumsquartier in Wien ist heuer wieder der Heißeste und daher gibt’s nur eins: Schuhe ausziehen, rauf auf ein Enzi und man bringe den Spritzwein!!
Zutaten des Sommers: Enzi (im MQ), Schuhe (ausgezogen), Spritzwein (nachfüllbar), Freitag-Tasche (dient auch als Kopfkissen). Temperatur um 0:00 – 30°C.
Jo, mia san mit’n Radl do, und mia hoi’n uns a Eis!
Da muss bei einem einfachen Menschen einfach Freude aufkommen: erster Ausritt mit dem neuen (hellblauen!) Fahrrad, an lauem Sommerabend zu Eismeer (Schoko, Sanddorn, Walnuss-Feige). Großes Kino, grande gioia!!
Uni recently got into a fight with a guard at Akropolis in Athens, who furiously proclaimed “No picture with the toy!” as we were about to take Uni’s picture at the historic site. The whaaaaaaaat? “Where do you see a TOY?”, is all I could think of replying to that! Uni shat a big pink heap of unicorn poo at the rotting marble and flew off, while the rest of us went to search for a more quiet spot for the picture to be taken, which we eventually found in front of Athena’s olive tree. The Goddess would have liked that we all agreed.
Athena’s olive tree didn’t seem to mind the sizzling midday sun at the Akropolis. The pommegranades at the foot of Akropolis hill also seem to appreciate the heat and are slowly getting there.
